Key ASA personnel include retired and former active duty members of the Armed Forces. While an Air Force Security Officer, ASA CEO Charles Butler achieved the following:

McChord Air Force Base, Washington
• Directed the acquisition of a state-of-the-art, proprietary central monitoring station and infrastructure capable of managing an existing network of 74 remote electronic security systems capable of performing CCTV, intrusion detection, and access control functions for facilities.

US Air Force Space Command, Colorado Springs, CO
• Evaluated contractor and government security forces on employment of the world's most advanced security equipment costing $100+Million and methods used in protecting space program assets at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL, and Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA.

Clear Air Force Station, Alaska
• Directed an in-depth terrorism vulnerability survey on critical facilities and infrastructure, including a critical power production complex and water supply vital to National Security.

Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida
• Planned and conducted antiterrorism and security awareness exercise scenarios involving everyone on the installation.
• Based on an updated design basis threat, directed the effort to combine and rewrite the installation security master plan and antiterrorism plans, including tactical planning, execution and coordination of support from local law enforcement agencies.

Allied Air Forces, Central Europe - NATO
• Tested security and antiterrorism performance capabilities at European NATO military installations by leading an intruder force-against-critical infrastructure during NATO inspection team evaluations of bases.
• Commanded large security forces (450+ people) in safeguarding nuclear weapons, hazardous materials, and associated transport aircraft. Developed and tested air base ground defense plans aimed at protecting the bases and their nuclear weapons systems from attack by terrorists and enemy special forces.
